Search Data You Enter
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search form is sent to the third-party provider that supplies the result. The Erie Residents Directory servers do not keep a copy of those search queries. If you contact us, the information we see is limited to the contents of your message and is used to respond.
Routine Technical Logs
Our host may record ordinary server details such as an IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. We use aggregate information to maintain the service and understand which Erie reference pages receive attention. Cookies or similar tools may support basic analytics and, where applicable, advertising measurement.
How the Data Is Used
The purposes are limited to operating the pages, troubleshooting, measuring traffic, and improving the reference. We do not sell visitor lists or build individual user profiles.
Links and Outside Providers
Pages may link to Town of Erie resources, Boulder County and Weld County portals, Colorado offices, libraries, archives, and third-party search tools. Each outside service has its own privacy terms, which govern information submitted there. The sponsored search results are supplied by a third party and are subject to that provider's practices.
Who May Receive Technical Data
Hosting and support providers may process server logs while they keep the pages available. Analytics or advertising partners may receive the automatic information described above. Disclosure may also occur when valid legal process requires it, and otherwise is not made.
Security and Retention
The site uses an encrypted connection. Logs are retained only for as long as the purposes above require. Since there are no accounts, this service has no password or user profile for an attacker to obtain from it.
Visitors Under 18
Erie Residents Directory is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. If a minor has sent information to us, use the Contact page and we will delete what we can identify.
Your Colorado Privacy Choices
For qualifying consumers, the Colorado Privacy Act provides rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain portability of certain personal data, along with opt-outs for sale, targeted advertising, and some profiling. The Act took effect July 1, 2023 and includes thresholds and exemptions. Because this service keeps very little, a request usually means checking the contact mailbox and relevant server logs, then removing what is found when removal is appropriate.
The Colorado Privacy Act treats data maintained by a government entity and data made public by law differently from a private company's consumer data. A Boulder County deed, Weld County parcel record, Town record, voter record, or court filing is not erased from its custodian through a private-company request. Colorado Open Records Act requests use C.R.S. §§ 24-72-201 to 206; criminal-justice records follow C.R.S. §§ 24-72-301 to 309. Vital-statistics records are confidential under C.R.S. § 25-2-117, with certified-copy access controlled by the custodian and the direct-and-tangible-interest rule. The federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, 18 U.S.C. §§ 2721-2725, separately restricts personal information from state motor-vehicle records.
Use the Contact page for a request about information held by this service. For a public record, contact the office that created or maintains it, such as the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder, Weld County Clerk & Recorder, Town of Erie, court, election office, or vital-records custodian.
Policy Updates
